Spend Your Summer On Stage

Whether you’re stepping into the spotlight for the first time or building on years of experience, Skylight Spotlight offers a place to learn, create, and grow. Our summer programs encourage students to explore storytelling, performance, collaboration, and self-expression in a supportive environment. Led by professional teaching artists, each program helps students develop new skills, build confidence, and make lasting connections through music theatre.

Create. Write. Perform.

KidsWrites — Grades 3-8

Students become playwrights, lyricists, and performers as they collaborate to create an original musical from the ground up. Participants develop characters, write scenes and songs, and bring their work to life in a final performance for family and friends.

  • Write original stories

Skylight Summer Musical Theater Camp participants

TakeTheStage — Grades 8-12

This college-prep program challenges students to strengthen their acting, vocal, and performance skills through intensive music theatre training. Participants work with professional artists and showcase their work in a culminating performance.

  • College-prep music theatre training
  • Refine audition materials for university music theatre programs or conservatories
  • Led by Skylight teaching artists
  • Final showcase performance
  • Broadway Theatre Center location
  • Bring a water bottle and lunch
