Review upcoming audition postings and requirements for each production.

Prepare your materials, including headshot, resume, and audition cuts.

Step 3

Submit your materials as instructed. If applicable, attend your scheduled audition.

Step 4

Participate in callbacks if invited, including readings, music, or movement.

Step 5

Receive casting updates from the production team via email or phone.

Reimagining Traditional Casting

Skylight Music Theatre’s goal is to create a positive and welcoming environment throughout the casting process. Character descriptions are outlined as described in the materials we receive from the licensing companies and in consultation with the creative team. Character descriptions are not intended to limit the performers who may be considered for a role.

We acknowledge that many scripts include roles that are traditionally presented within a gender binary and/or are historically cast with performers of a specific demographic. Skylight is not bound by these conventions in making our casting decisions.
