Milwaukee, Wis. (June 17, 2019) — Skylight Music Theatre unveiled the 60th Anniversary logo, marking the company’s landmark 2019-2020 Season. The logo celebrates Skylight’s long history of producing the full spectrum of music theatre works.
Skylight’s 2019-2020 subscription season opens in fall with the Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! (Sept. 27 – Oct. 13). For the holidays, Skylight presents Disney’s Broadway blockbuster Newsies (Nov. 15 – Dec. 22). In 2020, Skylight will present the exuberant The Gospel at Colonus (Jan. 17 – 26, 2020). In February, Skylight brings the charming and quirky Tony Award winner The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (February 7 – 23, 2020). Closing the season is Bernstein’s operetta masterpiece Candide (April 17 – May 10, 2020). In addition to the five mainstage shows, Skylight will offer two special, limited run productions, Ruddigore (or The Witch’s Curse) (Jan 3-19, 2020) and Evita (March 20-29, 2020).
Subscriptions are on sale now. Subscribers get the best seats at the best prices. Single tickets go on sale Monday, August 5. Tickets are $30 - $75 (plus tax and fees). Subscribers also get special access to discounted tickets to special limited run performances of Ruddigore ($30 per ticket) and Evita ($35 per ticket), a savings of over 20%!

Skylight Music Theatre will celebrate its 60th anniversary in the 2019-2020 season. Its mission since 1959: To bring the full spectrum of music theatre works to a wide and diverse audience in celebration of the musical and theatrical arts and their reflection of the human condition. Skylight presents productions “Skylight Style” – bringing fresh approaches or interesting twists to music theatre works, creating meaningful connections, not only between the characters on stage but with the audience as well. The beautiful, intimate Cabot Theatre allows audiences to feel close to the powerful emotions on stage.
