Skylight Music Theatre Announces One Day Sale for 25% Off Tickets to 'A Jolly Holiday – Celebrating Disney’s Broadway Hits'

Milwaukee, Wis. (July 14, 2022) — Skylight Music Theatre today announced a one-day sale on Monday, July 25 for A Jolly Holiday: Celebrating Disney’s Broadway Hits, running November 18 – December 31, 2022. Performances take place in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. Skylight is Milwaukee’s professional Equity music theatre company.

One Day Ticket Sale Monday, July 25

On July 25, there will be a one-day ticket sale offering 25% off single adult ‘A’ level tickets to A Jolly Holiday with promo code JOLLY25. Skylight Offers Holiday Entertainment for the Whole Family

A Jolly Holiday: Celebrating Disney’s Broadway Hits has a book by Sandy Rustin and will be directed by Skylight Music Theatre Artistic Director Michael Unger.

Sure to be an instant family classic, A Jolly Holiday features 30 favorite songs from Disney’s biggest Broadway hits performed by a group of outstanding Skylight artists joined by an ensemble of terrific youth performers. The memorable and hummable songs featured in the new revue include “Be Our Guest” (Beauty & the Beast), “Under the Sea” (The Little Mermaid), “Santa Fe” (Newsies), “Step in Time” (Mary Poppins), “Circle of Life” (The Lion King), “Bare Necessities” (The Jungle Book), “Let it Go” (Frozen) and many more from shows like Aladdin, High School Musical, and others.

Skylight Becomes Second Theatre in Country to Present New Disney Musical Revue

Skylight’s production marks a regional premiere and will be the second time the show has been staged anywhere. A Jolly Holiday had its world premiere in December 2021 at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey and is being presented at Skylight by special arrangement with Disney Theatrical Productions.

“Who better to celebrate the holidays with than Disney,” said Unger. “You are sure to leave the theatre with a warmed heart, big smile, and humming great songs from classic Disney Broadway shows. We are beyond thrilled that Disney Theatrical Productions and playwright Sandy Rustin have trusted us to present A Jolly Holiday. It will be only the second time it has been staged anywhere in the world. We think it will be the perfect holiday gift for our wonderful Skylight audiences.”

The performance schedule for A Jolly Holiday features numerous family friendly show times, including two early curtain times (1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) for the show’s closing on New Year’s Eve.

Creative Team Biographies

Michael Unger (Director) joined Skylight as Artistic Director in 2019. At Skylight he directed Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Shop of Horrors and the virtual production of Being Earnest, available worldwide at Unger is Producing Artistic Director of NewArts in Newtown, CT; started in response to the Sandy Hook tragedy, where has directed 16 large-scale musicals involving over 650 local children. He directed benefit concerts honoring Susan Stroman, Andre DeShields, Maltby and Shire, as well as for the Sandy Hook, CT and Parkland, FL communities.

Sandy Rustin (Writer) is an actress and award-winning playwright named to the Broadway Women’s Fund’s “Women to Watch” list. Her adaptation of the film Clue premiered on the East Coast at Paper Mill Playhouse and is currently touring in the UK. Her comedy, The Cottage, was presented by Manhattan Theatre Club with Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander directing and is in development for Broadway. Her adaptation of MGM’s Mystic Pizza premiered at Ogunquit Playhouse. Rustin is the Founding Co-Artistic Director of Midtown Direct Rep.

Christie Chiles Twillie (Music Director) is a pianist, music director, conductor, vocal coach, sound designer and composer. At Skylight: Raisin, Forgotten Voices – Unearthing the Roots of American Music, Five Guys Named Moe (2019 Footlights Winner Best Musical Direction), Newsies, and The Gospel at Colonus. Sound Design and compositional credits include Fireflies (Northlight), Carmella Full of Wishes (Chicago Children's Theatre), The Niceties (Forward), Vietgone (GEVA), The Way She Spoke (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre), and Yellowman (Fleetwood Jourdain).

Skylight Bar & Bistro

Conveniently located on the second floor of the Broadway Theatre Center, the Skylight Bar & Bistro is open two hours prior to showtime and features a pre-theatre menu.


Purchase $5 parking vouchers from the Broadway Theatre Center Box office for use in the Historic Third Ward parking garage at 212 N. Milwaukee Street (one block east and one block north). Vouchers are valid between 5 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. for evening performances. Matinee vouchers are valid 12-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Not valid for Wednesday matinees. Voucher sales stop 30 minutes before showtime. Advance purchase recommended so that vouchers can be mailed with tickets. No refunds.  

Meter parking is available on the street (free after 6 p.m. and on Sundays).
